Polyolefins are mainly produced from the olefin monomers due to the presence of a highly reactive double bond. LLDPE is a linear polymer with large numbers of short branches, produced by the copolymerization of ethylene with higher alpha olefin co-monomers such as hexene, butene, and octene. Co-monomers are mainly used to control the physical properties of LLDPE.
