(MoneyNewsWire.Net, March 21, 2016 ) Vancouver, BC -- Mike Ser, stock trader and cofounder of the successful Ser Man Traders, has recently revealed his typical workday for those who are curious about being a full time trader. His revelations, according to the pro trader, may hopefully inspire others in their own personal trading journey.
"Being in the West Coast, I usually get in the office by 5:30 AM, and I prepare for the day by finding out the latest news and then I analyze my charts to see what stocks I should trade in," says Ser, who as a prop trader trading the firm's own money instead of the money of depositors. "Then, half an hour before the market opens, I meet with my team and we talk about what stocks are in play and how we should play them."
For Ser, it's all about preparation, so they put together an action plan for the stocks they have focused on. At 6:30 AM, the market opens and they monitor the price action in the early goings.
"Things can get a little crazy at the start, but I'm not worried because I usually have a plan in place so we're ready to pounce on any opportunity," discloses Ser, who also heads a teaching facility for trading in the market. "If I'm right about my trades I get out with as much profit as I can, and if I'm wrong I get out with only a small loss."
Most of the time, the trading day ends at 8:30 AM, and then they either spend time discussing the market or they relax with an early lunch and some Ping-Pong or badminton. In the evening, they discuss possible opportunities for the next trading day.
"When we are done with our plans, we then end the day with dinner and drinks," says Ser. "If you're wondering what the life of a trader is like, this is my life as a professional trader."
