The accident happened around 7pm on the evening of December 18th. The two had just moved to the area the day before their accident, and tragically, both were killed from the impact.
The first victim was identified as an 80 year old female by the first name of Francine. She was killed at the scene of the accident. According to the Broward County Sherriff’s Office, one of the street lights near where the accident occurred was not in working order, which may have caused the driver to not see the couple as they crossed in front of him.
